Mar 23, 2013:

Neighbors Together was on site at Brandi Carlile's Beacon Theatre show to raise awareness and funds for our work to fight hunger! Special thanks to WhyHunger and Brandi's Looking Out Foundation for this exciting opportunity. Thanks to all involved for a really fun evening of great music!

Feb 27, 2013:

We are back from a fantastic trip to Albany yesterday with 30 of our members! Together they covered 15 legislative meetings, raising one collective voice to protect low-income New Yorkers in the state budget process.

We are advocating for improved public policies that directly impact hunger and poverty: increasing the state minimum wage, creating living wage jobs, expanding access to affordable housing, increasing funds for emergency food programs, and more.

Nov 16, 2012:

We'd like to thank three-time all star and two-time Olympic gold medalist Deron Williams, the point guard for the Brooklyn Nets, for coming to Neighbors Together today, serving a meal with his beautiful family, and presenting a check from his Point of Hope foundation to the Food Bank of New York!

Thank you to the Food Bank for selecting Neighbors Together as the site for this wonderful event!

NEWS: Neighbors Together received two awards in 2012!
  • The prestigious Harry Chapin Self-Reliance Award, for "creative and effective approaches to fighting hunger and poverty in the United States", from WHY Hunger, a national anti-poverty organization
  • We were also chosen from among more than 1,000 emergency food providers for the Food Bank for New York City Agency Excellence Award.
