Neighbors Together is an organization that really helps people, and because of that I was able to help other people too. Making sure people have access to housing is serious. I’ve become more vocal, I’m not afraid to say certain things because they need to be said. The people who work here are so down to earth and caring. They’re like family to me now.
Neighbors Together is a beacon of light. People are lining up and getting their meals. I see how well put together it all is. I see how the staff treats the people that they’re feeding when I come here. You feel not only welcome, but you feel like you’re part of the picture. Part of something. It’s the community I feel coming here.
Neighbors Together should always exist. This place is great. I’m happy and Neighbors Together definitely helped me get there. The more I saw progress, I felt more empowered. Joel on the Neighbors Together team advocated for me to find housing, and he saw the drive in me to get out of where I was. I feel way more confident in being stable. Everyone should be housed. Everyone should be comfortable. Everyone should be happy and healthy.
Neighbors Together is proud to be recognized for our unwavering commitment to ending hunger and poverty in Central Brooklyn.
